Hossegor, France - Soorts-Hossegor

Situated on the coast just north of Biarritz in south-western France, this well known Atlantic surfing spot is thought to be one of the best surfing beaches in the world and is commonly labeled as the “surfing capital of Europe”.
Considering the facts that the city’s economy is centered around surfing and it’s lengthy sandy beaches are merely a few minutes drive from town, it’s no surprise that it’s beaches play host to large numbers of fun and sun loving tourists and locals throughout the summertime. Hossegor is also the home of the annual Quiksilver Pro France surf competition.
However, the ocean’s high, left and right direction waves and fantastic tubes aren’t the only things that attract attention. Hossegor is the home to a booming nightlife, concentrated around the surroundings of La Plage Central, as well as local Basque architecture contributing to it’s great vibe. For an authentic night on the beach, make sure to check out Dick’s Sand Bar, popular for it’s views, relaxed ambiance and friendly staff.
